(This message was received from our own Fred Honeycutt.)
“Boy, are you lost? You’ve been by
my house 3 times already…where’s my #@!%## Smithfield
Herald?”
“Sir, it’s probably in this mail bag…and when
I find it, you will get it”
“ My name is Charlie Coltrane, I live @ 305 S Lombard
St, my box is on that porch over there, now give me my @#%# mail
!!!”
I wanted to quit.
A horn honked.
“Need some help?” A seasoned veteran had come to
check on my progress.
“Sorry Mr. Boling, I’m lost. I don’t think
I can do this.”
“Sure you can boy!…if I can do it, anybody can…just
follow the mail “
I did… what an incredible journey!
Thanks for the memories.

The 72nd Annual NCNAPUS State Convention was
dedicated to
Genice Akins! We MISSED you Genice!
(The following is
from Genice.)
I was touched and honored as I read the website events;
including the fact that you dedicated the convention to
me. Thanks for your prayers, cards, visits, flowers, and
most of all your LOVE. As you know, I have attended state
conventions for over 20 years and it was very difficult
to be at home unable to participate. I am recuperating
well, now that I have not had any other setbacks and I
on my way to gaining my strength, stamina and stress level
to a POSTAL LEVEL. Please continue to remember me in your
prayers and I love you all. See you soon.

INFORMATION YOU CAN USE
I happen to run into a
former postal employee that has his own business. He comes
from a postal family as his grandfather and father were both
postal employees. He does shirts, hats, aprons, sweatshirts
and all kinds of fun stuff. I thought you might want to advertise
his website in your
papers. I ordered an apron and a very cute pink hat with
Mr Zip on it and the quality is very good. He also makes
a donation from every transaction to the postal
relief fund. How many vendors do that? Anyway, I thought
you may want to share this with your state membership. His
website is www.postalsportswear.com
