Drew Martin, NC NAPUS state president started the meeting:

Thanking Luisa Austin for a Job Well Done during her tenor as the Mountain
District Director.

Introduced Avis M. Davis is the incumbent (New District Director
·
Emphasized the importance of communicating and keeping a positive attitude.
·
Spoke about his recent meeting with Mr. Fields and keeping a positive
relationship with our managers.
·
We need unity.
·
Meet for lunch or dinner within our local areas.
·
We need a strong organization.
Carol Langston, Area 2 MPOO discussed the following:

Membership in both NAPUS and the League (15 years)
·
Reemphasized communicating and learning from each other
·
Remember the RED Laws and if you are not sure call someone before you
make the wrong decision. Follow it to the letter.
·
Asked what is the SOP for missed dispatch.
Call her first.
EAS/OIC must take the mail to the plant (Not a craft employee unless they are
on higher level).
Do not leave the mail on the dock without talking to the MDO.
Get their name. If you would like to have the MDO sign off on a form you can.
Call Carol once the mail is delivered to the plant for clearance.

Be prepared for Zero Bundle drills (8 documents). They are more frequent.
·
If you have issues (example with compliment). Call Carol. If the district do
not answer call Carol and let her know.

must sign in the 3 designated areas).

KEEP all documentation on Salary advances.

District have over 300K of employee receivables.

Two questions from a PM that could not attend
Unnecessary Emails sent to offices that do not have delivery and Marketing/Retail
bundling their messages. Sending APC messages to offices that do not have
APC's, etc.
Two many reports that should be combined into to one data Base (costly)
·
Volunteered to assist Carol with any where or offices on the West end of Asheville
or her territory.
·
Call Carol or Avis will listen. Do not let a small pebble grow into a Mountain.
·
We have a lot of opportunities to skim the fat within our organization. We can
work together.
·
Opened the meeting for questions and new members to join (received 3 new membership
application).
