LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE 2010

Hello everyone!!

The Legislative Conference is fast approaching.
I hope you are making plans to attend this years 2010 Legislative Conference.
It's such a wonderful experience; one you won't forget! This is the time when you make things
happen. We will meet with our representatives and senators, briefly discussing with them what our
concerns and issues are. We ask them for their support on issues that matter to Postmasters
and the Postal Service. We let them know our opinions on issues we don't support or agree with.
The Legislative Conference will be March 20th through March 24th.
The Conference will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, in Arlington, Va
We will travel to the Conference by Chartered bus
The bus will load from:
The Charlotte P & DC at 7:00.a.m.
The Greensboro NDC (formerly BMC) at 9:00 a.m.
We will stop for dinner and arrive in Crystal City, Arlington, Va. on Saturday, March 20th.
We will visit with our Representatives and Senators on Tuesday, March 23rd after 12 noon.
We will caucus one night before the capitol visits in order to better plan our visits on the hill
On Monday the bus will be available to take any one who might be interested site seeing
I have submitted another request for the White House tour. I will not know if it has been approved
until 2 weeks before our scheduled arrival.
If you are interested in the White House Tour, I will need your full name, date of birth, your
social security number and your physical address.
I will also request a tour of the Capitol for those of you who are interested.
If you have special tours of interest please let me know and I will make sure this will be included
in the Monday excursion
We will return on Wednesday, March 24th. We will depart the conference about 10:00 a.m.
If anyone would like to attend, but do not have a room mate, please let me know and I will help
to find a room mate for you.
